Microchip's board has an HTTP server inside and use Get/Post to turn on/off the LEDs, get the button status and print to the LCD on-board. I have the Explorer 16 Board and PIC32 PIM as well as the PICTail+ Ethernet daughter board. So I can use the default demo. I also have the full version of C32 compiler so I can play with the firmware. What I need is a simple console program to connect to the board and then based on the option, turn on/off the LEDs, etc. The board also has email and ftp demo but I do not want to write a email client or ftp client. I've tried some standard command for the board like ping/wget.
