Probably something like 60-3000Hz. I don't believe that it's possible to have a compact transformer that covers that frequency range; the LC oscillator/transformer combos that make up the "standard" 2KHz inverter tend to be pretty big, and they WHINE. Part of the idea is to get the inductor frequency up above the hearing range so you can't hear the windings humming.
