Hi, Yes these will work very nicely with PICs. I am using them in conjunction with a boost inverter (Minty Boost) and one or two NiMH AA cell(s). But All Electronics has no spec sheet on them. This is their description..... "Output: approximately 3 Volts @ 40 mA. 60mm square x 2.5mm thick epoxy- encapsulated silicon photovoltaic cell. Solid almost-unbreakable module with solderable foil strips on backside. Ideal for solar-powered battery chargers and other projects." Actually the original ones I had bought as a trial, followed this description. Now AE is shipping a different cell which meets the nominal electrical specifications, but are no longer encapsulated silicon, but rather on a glass substrate. Would anyone have further information on these, the glass substrate ones? Spec sheet, manufacturer?
