But you shouldn't be using absolute mode anyway. It still exists for backwards compatibility with ancient code, but is very bad programming given today's MPASM/MPLIB/MPLINK suite. Unfortunately Microchip doesn't actively discourage absolute mode as they should, and a lot of references to it are still scattered in the documentation, giving someone not reading carefully the idea that absolute mode is somehow OK to use.
