Hi Mike, >You might still have the speed returned by the ECU as it could be >using an alternate sensor I'm afraid not, one of the reasons I need to fix this properly rather than just use a GPS is that the Trionic 5 ECU needs the speedo signal to keep running smoothly, it does things like becoming prone to stalling at junctions. I did think about just taking GPS NMEA output and parsing that for speed but I'm not at all sure about the legality of a speedo that won't work in tunnels and takes a minute or two to start reading after ignition on! ... plus the whole messing with the cruise control feedback loop possibility.
