Agreed!  In retrospect, I'm not sure why I had switched to C from Turbo 
Pascal at that time anyway - maybe just because Dr. Dobb's liked it or 
because of its general popularity.

Then came Turbo C++ and Borland C++ and OWL, vs. MFC, and more complex 
tradeoffs.
