Hi all, Just wondering if anyone here has used strings of lead acid batteries in parallel before and can share any experience about it? I've done some poking around online, looked it up in a battery textbook I have, and thought through some of the possible mismatch problems and it seems like it would be OK, as long as the batteries are all the same model and possibly same age. I would also fuse each string separately. Any other suggestions or gotchas? My initial worry is that a warmer battery in parallel with a cooler one might hog charge or discharge current and eventually all the current could end up going through one of the two. However, it looks like this is only a problem with float charging (if even then), which I don't plan on doing.
