I'll have another go tomorrow -- though it looks like Farnell have dropped the 
price on the Harwin pogo-pins and introduced a "Multicomp" (*koff*-knockoff) 
version too... 24p for the receptacle, 52p for the pogo-pin (or 19p/42p in 
50-off). I'm actually tempted to buy a couple of bags of them at that price...
