Suggesting I am dead inside does not upset me.... mainly because it is wrong. If I am praised for something that is trivial, I don't get excited. The facts don't merit it. If I did something great, I am happy. Someone else's praise does not make me happier. Here is a caveat. I live with a partner who I admire after many years together. If she says I am great, I like hearing that. I have chosen to be with her out of all the people I have ever met. Even with her, the main reason I hang with her is because she is entertaining and says interesting things. I am not waiting for her to boost my feelings. I do like her hugs. cc -- http://www.piclist.com PIC/SX FAQ & list archive View/change your membership options at http://mailman.mit.edu/mailman/listinfo/piclist
