Olin, This project is funded by me at this time. That may change at some point in the future, but for right now, I am the sole financial supplier. As far as the admins go, I will suggest they treat you like any other member, but I'm not sure how much clout I carry in that respect. If this does get funded by someone other than me in the future, I'll contact you regarding hiring you as a consultant. Until then, this project is mostly a personal effort at building a low cost test fixture/instrument for use with the products we make where I work. Most of the test equipment for our products are fixtures that have been designed and built in house because of the nature of the products. As such, they are rather expensive, and take a relatively long time to design and build and get online. Also, there is a lot of overkill In the equipment we build because they contain some items that are off the shelf, and are way overpowered for the job, but they are at the Sametime the low end equipment. In other words, we buy the mininum functionality that the vendor offers, but for our purpose, they have Much excess functionality and capacity. So, my thought is if we can do an adequate job with something less, and it can be built at a lower (much lower) cost, then not only do we Still build a good quality product, but we get the same or better testing capability with equipment that costs less, then our costs of building And testing go down, and we conceivably could offer the product at somewhat lower cost to the customer. Everybody wins. What a concept. So, I am in the first stages of building a working prototype that we can operate right along with the current test setup to see if it will work. If it does, then I can probably get my employer to foot the bill not only for future development work, but I can get reimbursed for my costs of the Prototype unit. Again, everyone wins. I'll let you know what happens after I get the prototype built and tested. And again, thanks for your help. I appreciate it very much. If so, you really should have someone at least advising that has experience with low level graphics. I do that kind of consulting (I helped get ATI started in 3D. No, seriously.) and can provide all the private help you want that way. If you want more free help on the list, try convincing the admins to treat me like everyone else here. They can treat me like dirt or have me add value to the list. They get to pick only one. ******************************************************************** Embed Inc, Littleton Massachusetts, http://www.embedinc.com/products (978) 742-9014.
