Is this a funded commercial project?  If so, you really should have someone
at least advising that has experience with low level graphics.  I do that
kind of consulting (I helped get ATI started in 3D.  No, seriously.) and can
provide all the private help you want that way.

If you want more free help on the list, try convincing the admins to treat
me like everyone else here.  They can treat me like dirt or have me add
value to the list.  They get to pick only one.
