NIMH cells HATE constant overcharge, so be careful.   Some versions
can tolerate it, but they are unusual.
Overcharging causes voltage depression, which is sometimes mistaken
for "memory effect", which is a very real, and very over-rated
phenomenon.

In my opinion, NIMH is the most complicated of the common cell
chemistries to charge.
Li-ion or Li-polymer is much less complicated, though much less
forgiving of errors.
