to keep up on engineering or other 'news' or interesting items? It may be a bit 
limited for engineering, but it seems to have some potential... maybe...

Long posts certainly wouldn't be a problem. ;)

It seems one can get BBC or CNN news in some form this way, and the part about 
asking your 'group' and getting answers is a lot like the list here.
