I'll add my vote for the LM2936.  I use the Z-5.0 by the hundreds.  It's 
my prefered high-vin, low current regulator.    I also use the LM2937, 
but that's not low quiesecent.

Be aware that the No-lead package for TO-252 is rated for MSL-2, which 
means that it will absorb enough moisture, given enough time, to 
flash-vaporize and crack (popcorn) when soldered. 

The good news is that as long as you're under 30*c/85%RH, you have a 
year after opening the drypack before this beomes an issue..  but I'd 
recommend keeping them in a well-sealed antistatic ziplock bag with 
dessicant just in case.   They should come in a sealed package with 
dessiant and a relative humidity card so you can be sure they haven't 
sat out in the open absorbing moisture.
