I'm basing it on 7 years helping out people on Avrfreaks that kill their chips with cheap programmer, especially parallel port programmer with their confusing hex fuse setting software. For me, I just do not want to exit Studio, all that I need is in one IDE which works fairly well...apart from the occasional bug... Having said that I started off with a PPP with the 4 resistors, (233 MHz processor win 3.11) but once I started to use AVRs for real I got an AVRISP, it just works. I also have a STK500 and a Dragon which can be used as backup programmers. Regards John Samperi ******************************************************** Ampertronics Pty.
