Balsa wood might work as well and if you paint it and put it in a toaster oven it should dry real fast. Another thing that might help is a space blanket, real thin material $2-$3 at Walmart. cc On May 14, 2008, at 6:40 PM, PicDude wrote: We have only one more session this coming saturday, so paint may cause delays, but I like the foam idea, onto which I can glue some thin reflective material (perhaps some polished stainless or similar. Cheers, -Neil. #2 sounds pretty good. make some test shapes out of dense foam ( machine it or carve it ) ( $2 at Walmart ) and coat it with aluminium paint. I used the green foam that does not dissolve when painted. Put on several coats of paints to get the surface smooth. cc -- View this message in context: http://www.nabble.com/Extending-IR- receiver-module-field-of-view-tp17212589p17243833.html Sent from the PIC - [EE] mailing list archive at Nabble.com. -- http://www.piclist.com PIC/SX FAQ & list archive View/change your membership options at http://mailman.mit.edu/mailman/listinfo/piclist -- http://www.piclist.com PIC/SX FAQ & list archive View/change your membership options at http://mailman.mit.edu/mailman/listinfo/piclist
