I thought I'd buy myself a natty new soldering iron and station, my ancient Antex with homebrew temperature controller, isn't really up to speed with SMD stuff and the spare parts have to be imported. Enter Elektor magazine (yes I still have all those issue up for sale) advertising the new OKI PS-900, off I wander to the Australian OKI website - I can't even look at the product let alone get a price unless I register to view their website. Is a soldering iron top secret or something? Perhaps it is a terrorists weapon of choice. I can visit the ASIO, MI6 or even the CIA website without having to register! Of course Farnell in Australia don't list OKI, though Farnell UK does and Ebay isn't my friend where OKI or working Metcal's are concerned.
