While an interesting angle, considering the end user for me is the general public, I don't think getting every single one out there to sign an NDA (and getting the company I'm signing the NDA with to agree to this) is going to happen. Obviously I'm a pretty specific case, I suppose for most people out there the GPL is wonderful.
