Most probably, it might be even a bootable Windows system so they would not rely on the hackers environment. With Linux vs. Windows the big difference is that Linux does NOT store passwords, it stores only it's hashes so you can check if the given password is correct but you cannot reverse it. With Microsoft... God knows... Anyway, experienced hackers use encrypted partitions (not the NFTS stuff, but 3rd party with strong crypting algorithms!) so I doubt if they can catch up a good hacker like this. Maybe they can get the password by tearing off his nails or stretching his body all over the wheel.
