Hi,

Is there any simple, cheap, popular PSU circuit for small devices that
contain just a few parts around PIC?
I mean, mains powered (230V/50Hz here), 5 V output, 0.5 A maybe.

Seems transformer-based PSU's that are available are cheap, but quite
bulky. I'm looking for some simple universal switch mode circuit which
I should not redesign for every single case.
