Also the DTMF base in a telephone. There's another common one,
4.433619, which I think is also colour burst

Unless it's a timing application, I hardly use PICs with a low-speed
crystal (eg 32kHz or 3.2768MHz) directly anymore. It's all IntRC
or PLL these days
