Seeing as how one of the few things I have free copious access to is scrap electronics, I've been giving some thought to creating "things" out of them (you know, reuse, recycle, etc.). Some of these things may be fairly usable objects (say, refrigerator magnets or coasters or notebook covers) while some may be purely aesthetic (wall clocks, lamps, etc.). Obviously, if it's something I (or others) will handle occasionally, I'd like to seal it up so handling it doesn't expose the user to lead. Anybody have any ideas for a non-toxic, transparent conformal coating that I can spray on, slather on, or dip my finished object into to seal away the lead forever? Note the non-toxic element- if it contains tons of VOCs or oxygen-free radicals the lead may be preferable (well, maybe not).
