I wouldn't think it will work with both of them set. That was it! The app notes said both HS and PLL had to be on, so I included both, not realising that apparently the HSPLL option has both set. Also, it runs fun with a 4MHz resonator, but when I put a 10MHz resonator in I can not start it via the PICkit2 unless I have it running with external power. PLL start up time is too slow perhaps. Plug in external power and it runs fine under the debugger.
