Used to have one last year that would ravage the roast chicken
leftovers. It had had mange so was half spineless and was no
bigger than a fist with spindly naked legs. The cats would sit
around like hyenas and vultures waiting for their turn. Like a little
bit of African savanna on the front lawn it was. Hedgehogs grunt
too, which added to the spectacle

I suppose we can count ourselves lucky we live in places where
our pets aren't going to be taken by snakes, crocs, eagles, bears....
