Greetings, Martin, It is good to hear that you got the package and everything works. I personal don't think there is a particular reason to use solid wire rather than stranded wire. They should both work with respect RJ12 connectors. The solid one does appear to be stiff comparing with the stranded wire. One more point is the conductor core size, the 24 AWG wire we are using provides better conduct performance than 26 AWG wire, but again it appears to be stiff when it is as short as about 6 inches.
