We're very interested in solar activity, of course, since it drives HF radio propagation. According to the original forecasts Solar Cycle 24 should have already begun, and it was supposed to be a very active cycle. As I am typing this, the sunspot number is zero. The latest forecasts are for a much less active cycle, so it will be interesting to see what actually happens. The inverse correlation between solar cycle length and activity is fairly well established. If this does translate into lowering temperatures, I'm curious how the global warming industry will spin it. -- --- Chris Smolinski Black Cat Systems http://www.blackcatsystems.com -- http://www.piclist.com PIC/SX FAQ & list archive View/change your membership options at http://mailman.mit.edu/mailman/listinfo/piclist
