Greensboro North Carolina was named for General Greene. In battle, General Greene asked that the Militia fire two rounds and fall back, the reserves were to also fire two rounds and fall back. The regulars would then deal with whatever remained of Cornwallis's Red Coats. The Militia was by defininitaton the armed civilian population with their own weapons.
