Hi All, 
 
I'm using the USART of a PIC18F8520 for Synchronous Master transmission. I was told that PIC supports the different SPI Modes (I need my PIC to operate in mode 3). However, I didn't find anything about how to configure PIC to operate in SPI mode 3 in the datasheet. 
 
My question was:-1. What is SPI mode 3 (any link I can get the details?) 2. How to configure mode 3?3. When I use an oscilloscope to look at the Clock and data lines, how to tell what mode my PIC is running on? Could that be from the relative position of the edges of clock and data?
