Early on I had a manager who told me about these fantastic 
SciFi stories with Puppeteers and General Products hulls and 
... . It all sounded too much like Fantasy to me and I never 
pursued it. So I was a decade or two late catching up with 
Larry and friends.

I find (all such is opinion and personal preference) that 
the author Niven-Pournelle is better than Niven or Pournelle 
alone. I said that to Jerry (politely) and he agreed - he 
said "That's why we do it".
