No... EEPROM space is limited to 256 bytes. However, you can use the same
registers to read the program memory (flash). I'm not sure if the 16F690
allows writing to flash memory, but you can use this mechanism to have wide
tables (14 bits, or two characters) which will be slightly easier to read.
