I have came across the name of this book while reading Bjarne Stroustrup's interview at Dr. Dobb's magazine. ( http://www.ddj.com/cpp/207000124;jsessionid=RP3R4WUIQDGZAQSNDLOSKHSCJUNN2JVN?pgno=3 ) Wikipedia has a short article regarding to him ( http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/George_Polya) He has smart quotes indeed. (I like the Pi mnemomic :) It seems to me this math wiz had had a witty side, could have been a nice song character in one of Tom Lehrer's song. By the way have you listened to his Lobachevsky? I am planning to read this book. Have you read it? and if so, do you recommend? -- http://www.piclist.com PIC/SX FAQ & list archive View/change your membership options at http://mailman.mit.edu/mailman/listinfo/piclist
