Still some person would like a GUI version. Jeff Post intended to write a version in SDL but he got not much time since the priority is the GPL pk2 3.0 version. Even though I will tend to use either Gnome (on Ubuntu) or KDE (on PCLinux OS and FreeBSD) mainly, I always ended up in installing both normally since there are good programs in the other camp.
