Although rare, consider the effects of a significant hailstorm (baseball sized hail over 10's of square miles at 100MPH, punching holes in buildings), or tornado, or lightning strikes on that rather large and rather delicate solar plant. When you have a large scale structure like that, rare weather events for any given acre add up.
