Happy to say yes.  At the same time sad to admit I'm that old.
My first microprocessor class in Sept. '75. Teacher was winging it by 
copying pages from the big MC6800 handbook because there weren't any 
text books yet.  Our class had to build the SWTP terminal and 6800 
computer to run our lab programs.
