I think you ask the wrong question and he gives the "right
marketing type" answer. ;-) It should be 1 bit DAC for speakers.

Some people also call sigma-delta ADC converter a 1-bit ADC.

However in the context of speakers, you are converting digital
signal to analog. So it is DAC.
