What's even more scary is that I not only have the data book for that part, I even considered using it for a couple of designs. This was back in the days when I was using lookup tables stored in eproms controlled by simple combinatorial logic for things like LED display controllers. It just sorta made sense. Then I discovered PLDs. I *might* even have some of those MC14500B chips sitting in a bin downstairs.
