But besides that penalty... and the marriage penalty... we do get a benefit from educating YOUR kids... We hopefully don't have to pay for them on the unemployment line later on... And we really appreciate that with the "economic stimulus" rebates this year in the U.S., those with kids get more "stimulus" too. What the HELL is that? Makes sense for the poor, but it's stupid for the middle-class and above... just means that my buddies will be buying things and my taxes are a "wash" after claiming zero dependents and one of us "withholding at the higher single rate" all year. If they wanted real economic stimulation -- give the DINKs the equivalent of the 2-kids households... we'll gladly go spend it on real capital goods...
