Soon after I moved to Australia, a lady in David Jones asked me where I was from, 'England' I replied, her next question left me dumbfounded, 'Are you sure?' she asked , 'Because I'm certain you're from New Zealand' and she was deadly serious. Colin :: But it is interesting, being a Kiwi in the UK, especially living in :: Oxfordshire which has as 'minimum' an accent as anywhere in the :: UK. I still :: occasionally get asked where I am from, and respond with 'where do :: you think :: I am from'.
