Oh, good lord. I had a CB rig with one of these, having been made in 1962. And a Hallicrafters HT-32 with the same thing. (If you REALLY go back to that age you will point out that it didn't have that connector originally, but hey, someone modified it for PTT). More disconcerting, I can remember the part number. This was an Amphenol part. I fear that company has been bought and sold a dozen times like all the others. But I put it into a web search and there are a few hits, so this message may not be totally useless. So, numbers were like 80MC2M, was the "80" line, male, not sure about the "C", 2 was the number of pins, and M was male, as in plug. One of the interesting things I learned was you could change either M to an F, giving you any of four combinations including "male sockets" and such. Hope this helps, or at least, amuses.
