Vista home. Arguably a far better > bargain. But, then you'd have to use it :-(. People always forget WHAT the EEE is. Comparing it to your typical $600 laptop is as apples to oranges as you can get. The EEE is a VERY small and light laptop. Yes, it's not powerful. Yes, it's got limited storage. Yes, it's missing an optical drive. But considering it's size most people consider it a VERY good bargain, especially compared to other laptops IN IT'S CLASS. > The Eee XP seems to be prices far far far too high. Really? Name me another laptop that is 2lbs, and as small and light that comes ANYWHERE near the Eee in price and performance? The closest I'm aware of is the Fujitsu U810, and it retails for $1000. Personally, I'm hoping the Eee 900 comes out before July, I'll be one of the first to buy it if it does. If not, it'll have to be the U810 (got a trip coming up and I'm sick of lugging my 4.4lb monster around).
