Well, the 12F629 is quite a basic (ie no modules such as
UART or ADC etc) PIC, in many ways like the 12C508

The manual on its own is a good start. Any publication that
covers the 12C508 will help. There will be a mountain of
public domain examples out there for the 12C508

If you can't find anything, or even if you can, I'd be quite
happy to share my 12F projects with you or help get you
up and running
