You have to know which terminal selection will mimic your board. Your device only uses Tx and Rx and has the RTS looped to DSR. If you have chosen a configuration that requires other handshaking line configurations, you may have trouble even though the baud is right. Also, your keyboard may be set to Terminal or Windows and affect your keys in Hyperterminal. I suggest you use Terminal.com, a shareware product that is much easier to configure.
