More info: I think it works for PIC16F883; the cecksum changes depending on what .hex file I import or if i change change chip. When i select PIC18F66J15 the checksum is initially 0x79c4 but after whatever .hex I import it always show 0x0000 ??? Looks like a bug in MPLAB 8.01 /Morgan Den 2008-03-01 14:21:40 skrev Morgan Olsson : > Den 2008-02-07 13:43:42 skrev Jens M. The "funny" thing is that the schecksum displayed in MPLAB toolbar varies from time to time :( > It seems to be related to in which order i lad the .hex file and select ICD2 as programmer, which in turn is dependant of wether i need to reboot MPLAB and/pr Windows for it to connect on USB. > > ( I even had to fiddle with the registry after upgradign from MPLAB 8.00 to 8.01 so I do not want to try spending more hours upgrading to 8.02 as there stil is no sign of bugfixes for euther this extremely lousy USB handlign nor checksum !!
