(Nothing else in the project) Scope: For the prototypes i hav been simply booting MSWinXP pro, connected ICD2, started MPLAB, selected programmer and chip and loaded the hex file and programmed. The "funny" thing is that the schecksum displayed in MPLAB toolbar varies from time to time :( It seems to be related to in which order i lad the .hex file and select ICD2 as programmer, which in turn is dependant of wether i need to reboot MPLAB and/pr Windows for it to connect on USB. ( I even had to fiddle with the registry after upgradign from MPLAB 8.00 to 8.01 so I do not want to try spending more hours upgrading to 8.02 as there stil is no sign of bugfixes for euther this extremely lousy USB handlign nor checksum !! Argh. ) From my googling i found only problems,no solution, but maybe someone can tell me what is the right way to do this? ( BTW the code protect bits are set in the .hex file i presume as i have not needed to do anything else than load the .hex and program and the target works and cannot be read out. ) The chips are PIC16F883 and PIC18F66J15 I need the checksum in order to send to Microchip programming facility.
