You can have as many wind farms as you want, you'll still need either another source of generation that can operate 24/7 to cover 100% of the load, or some way to store the energy for later use (doesn't really exist on the large scale). Solar has the exact same problem, although energy storage is a little more theoretically possible then with wind generation. To me, the only renewable energy source that is at all feasible is hydro, and there just isn't enough out there to even come close to our energy needs, so for today non-renewable generation is here to stay.
