So if it makes no noticable difference, is it a problem? Obviously the "containment" at Oklo lasted a hell of a long time, and it probably isn't the only site where this has happened. The idea is that we can in fact dispose of waste products in a place that has been stable for millions of years, and after 10kyears, a geological "moment", it decays to safe levels. Remember too that geology isn't coin flips.
