I'm Programming a PIC18f4550 using the PICkit 2 and I've started to have problems with it/the pic. this setup has been working without any problems, but over the last 2 days I've started to have 2 different intermittent problems, but they may be related. 1. I program/verify the pic and all seems ok but the pic doesn't start and the I/O seems to float. (this is with an external frequency generator to isolate the xtal start-up. 2.Sometimes during programming or verification the "PICkit 2 programmer" software freezes leaving the busy light on. if I unplug the programmer from the PCB there is no change, if I unplug the USB port from the programmer the software then reports PICkit2 not found.... on repluging back in the programmer will normally try to program the pic without intervention. Any ideas as its getting really frustrating Richard -- http://www.piclist.com PIC/SX FAQ & list archive View/change your membership options at http://mailman.mit.edu/mailman/listinfo/piclist ____________________________________________________________________________________ Looking for last minute shopping deals?
