If you go to the EEE Forum at: http://forum.eeeuser.com/index.php you will find many users have XP installed on an SDHC card, but with mixed results. Some claim that the system is extremely slow. I was using a small screen XP PRO Sony Vaio for traveling, but when I saw the EEE PC, I decided to buy a couple of them. One would be set aside for my travels, and one for Linux use. However I found the 4G was just a tad short on memory for a decent XP installation, so I then got 2 x 8G units, thinking I would sell the 4G's. Well I sold one to a friend. He uses it as a low power server, and the other, my wife grabbed before I could do anything with it. Recently my sales computer motherboard blew up, and although I had a complete backup system ready to go, I decided to slip the EEE 8G into Dontronics sales. My sales staff set it up with a 17" LCD screen, wireless keyboard and mouse, and found they were able to do everything, that the older PC had done before, albeit a little slower. The old one was a 2.6Gig Pentium 4. My advise is if you want to run XP, get an 8 Gig unit and run it from the SSD. You won't regret paying the additional money.
