If OLPC fails, it is a pity since technically the machine is still interesting. Then again, with lower cost Linux based small laptop and the so-called MID, OLPC may not be that relevant technically anyway. IMHO the philosophical and philanthropy part of OLPC may help but will not decide the future of OLPC.
