I remember having a 386dx2/66 machine running Novell Unix, opening a DOS box and running a CP/M emulator, which indicated it was peaking at the equivalent of a z80 running at 13MHz on the speed test. That was faster than the fastest available real z80 chip, which was 12MHz IIRC.
